Somali Youth Drought Relief Committee Toronto
Millions of people face severe food shortages in Somalia. Due to years of consecutive drought, people are hardest hit and face acute humanitarian crisis. With no rain in sight, the livestock continue to die thus collapsing the economy and forcing mass exodus of people to other areas. Somalia is a devastated land, a country that is unfortunately, totally forgotten despite its enormous problems and dire need for immediate assistance.
How Feed Somalia is helping:
Here at Feed Somalia we have partnered with HCI, because they have been on the ground delivering vital aid and assistance for many years. Countless lives have been saved through their projects in the affected areas of Somalia. We must intervene now to avert a full-scale disaster and save the lives of thousands of the vulnerable victims.
Feed Somalia has starting a world wide effort to unite the youth of the Somali diaspora. We have arranged a Somali Youth Drought Relief Committee and have been heavily advocating through the media and social networking to bring awareness to our #feedsomalia campaign. We are trying to uphold the highest regard for transparency and accountability with our projects creating lasting partnerships with various businesses, governments, and communities.
